Sinhagad Fort
Sinhgad Fort is located around 30 km from Pune. It is one of the famous Picnic Spot of pune. This fort has seen many battle. The most famous being battle of sinhgad. It has 2 gates. One is called as kalyan darwaza in the South-East and Pune darwaza in the North-East. It is also a good treking place. The PMT Buses runs every hour from shaniwar wada and swargate.

Lohgad Fort
Lohgad Fort ( Iron Fort ) is located 52 Km From Pune. It is one of the fort build by Shivaji Maharaj. It is the weekend spots for puneities. It is situated beside the sahyadris hills and divides Indrayani and Pavana River. On the East side visapur Fort is located. Lohgad Fort has fort doors. Narayan darwaza ,Ganesh darwaza,Mahadarwaza, Hanuman darwaza. To reach one can go to Lonavala and from there they can go by train.

Purandar Fort
Purandar Fort Located around 40 km from Pune. It mainly contains of 2 forts: - Purandar and Vajragad. In 1956 bahadur shah granted this fort to Malloji Bhosale. In 1646 Shivaji Maharaj established the control of fort. After that lots of Kings come and control the fort. Now presence time Fort has a National Cadet Corps and famous destination for trekking and picnic spots.

Pratapgad Fort Pratapgarh Fort
Pratapgarh Fort is around 140 km from Pune. It is situated on the banks of Nira and Koyna River. Fort was constructed under the leader ship of Shivaji Maharaj.It was completed in 1656. The fort also contain 17 "statues of Shivaji Maharaj inaugurated by Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru on 1957.It also contain guest house and a national park. To reach one can go to mahabaleshawar from Pune and from there one can reach to fort.

Rajgad Fort
Rajgad Fort (Kings of Forts) is located in the Pune districe. It is around 42 km from Pune. It is also Capital Maratha kingdom for few years. This fort is divided into 3 parts. These are the three sub-plateaux  namely Padmavati Machee, Suvela Machee and Sanjevani Machee, and the central volkanic plug called Ballekilla (meaning "small fort"). It is significant site for trekking  and adventurous site to visit.

Janjira Fort
Janjira Fort is located in Raigarh district .The Fort is surrounded by water. It was build by Marathas. Around Forts Water is salty but inside fort there is lake the water of which is being sweet. One can go to fort by boat. One can reach to this fort by going to raigarh by train and From there buses, Taxis are avaiable.
